42,000 SF

Challenge:

University Health aimed to enhance their Heart and Vascular space and enhance patient access to state-of-the-art cardiac care. The previous facility had limited workspace for providers, inefficient operating rooms, and dated technology. The project challenges required meticulous medical equipment planning for effective technology integration.

Solution:

The 42,000 SF renovation of the third and fourth floors in the Emory University Hospital Tower was designed with the mission to better serve patients. Pulse Design Group’s medical equipment planning department managed programming and design for the four catheterization labs, three electrophysiology labs, 16 high-acuity ICU rooms, five cardiovascular operating rooms, a hybrid operating room, a robotic operating room, and support spaces. This modernization transformed the tower into a state-of-the-art heart and vascular facility and increased patient capacity by 50%.
