The Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Satellite Pharmacy Modernization project renovated 5,430 square feet of vacant space to accommodate the satellite pharmacy, more than doubling their existing pharmacy.
The renovated space includes an efficient medication storage and prescription processing area, staff support spaces, several dispensing windows, and a comfortable customer waiting area. Notable aspects of the project include integrated robotic and manual prescription filling processes and extensive daylighting via overhead Solatube daylighting devices in the staff work area and customer waiting area. The project team was responsible for all aspects of design, construction, installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment, low voltage systems, artwork and signage, and the transition of the client from their current space to the newly renovated Satellite Pharmacy.
The new satellite pharmacy opened for business at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in June 2020.
